Welcome to my "The Angel Company" Blog

I am an independent demonstrator for The Angel Company. TAC carries a wonderful variety of rubber stamps and our own scrapbook papers. You can also purchase inks, chalks, tools, etc.
I am located in the Kansas City KS area and I also have a home on the Lake of the Ozarks in Warsaw MO. I would love to have you host a FunShop to learn a new stamping or card making technique or style. Have a few friends in and have some crafting fun. Hostesses can earn free and half priced items. I can also take orders if you do not wish to have a FunShop.

Clarification

The post for the new challenge says that it was posted at 5:40 a.m. It was actually posted at 7:40 a.m. when I realized that it didn't appear on time. Not sure where the 2 hours discrepancy came from.

Flowers in the Snow

The winner of the "Fur" Challenge is #3 Lynda!! Email me your address at mssquared812@hotmail.com. Lynda used a Phindy image.

Flowers in the Snow, not literally, but with all the snow, I am looking for flowers. Challenge #5 is to use flowers on your project. BUT - you must use at least two different kinds. There is floral paper, paper flowers, quilled flowers, flower brads, digital or rubber stamped flowers, flower die cuts and flower stickers. So I don't mean roses and daisies, but two different styles. The purpose of your card/project is up to you.

  • Floral paper: The Angel Company: Tutti Frutti
  • Flower stamps: The Angel Company: Pretty Posies
  • Sentiment: Me & My Big Ideas
  • Kitty Image: Wink Wink Ink
  • Colored with Copic Markers

Two weeks again so this challenge is due February 1, 2011 @ 6:00 a.m. Central Time. The prize for this challenge will be some embellies appropriate for Spring.

Keeping Warm with Fur

The challenges are getting little more participation each time. First 2 then 4 then 7. Can we double (or close to it) the number of submissions again this challenge?? Spread the word to fellow papercrafters!
Challenge #3 Winner is Vicki!! Send your address to mssquared812 at hotmail dot com. You have won an assortment of sticky embellishments: stickers, borders, etc.

Two weeks seems to be working a little better than every week. The new challenge is "Keeping Warm with Fur". On those cold winter days wouldn't it be nice to snuggle in a nice warm fur coat?? (Real or synthetic). For this challenge you must use an image of an animal with fur (cat, dog, bear, etc).

  • Images: Furry Friends from The Angel Company (grey, red and brown Copic markers)
  • Yellow cardstock
  • Designer paper from stash (no indication as to company)
  • Small mirror: tree house studio
  • Crystals: from stash (various colors)
  • Border sticker - dark blue
I am trying to use more of my stash and buy less this year. I have enough (except maybe adhesives and ink for the Copics) to last a couple of years. As a result I am getting into supplies that are no longer in their original packaging so I cannot always identify the brands.

The prize this week is a package of Artist Trading Cards. These are fun to trade or to use on cards and scrapbook pages. They can also be used to make "memory game" cards for the preschoolers in your life.
This is a 2 week challenge (a little more manageable for me) so all creations need to be in by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Good luck and share your talents!

Winner from last week

The winner from the "Child's Birthday" challenge is......Karen! Send me your address and I'll get the prize in the mail.

Doubled the number of entries this week! Well,  four is double of 2. Could we reach 8 next challenge?? Due to the holiday chaos I am giving the new challenge (see the post below) 2 weeks. It is due January 4th.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Challenge #3 - Anything Snows

Ready for round 3?? This week's theme is "Anything Snows!" Your card, layout, ATC or project must include snow: snowflakes, snowballs, snow on the evergreens, snowman/lady. It can be for New Year's, birthday, thinking of you, whatever you choose as long as there's snow. AND you actually have 2 weeks for this challenge because of the hectic schedules during the holidays. The deadline will  be January 4th at 6 a.m. central time. Other than the adjustment to the deadline, all other rules still apply.

I am going to wait and post some samples later in the week. But here is a photo to get you in the mood.

Challenge #2

 Theme: A Child's Birthday

Since Christmas is the birthday of Jesus, I am extending that to birthday cards for children in general. Make a card, layout, ATC (artist trading card) or other project appropriate for celebrating a child's birthday. You may use any colors, but "Happy Birthday", "Birthday Wishes" or similar sentiment must be visible. Again you may use images from any source but if you use stamps from The Angel Company and cite them in your supply list on your blog, you will have an extra entry for the drawing.

The prize this week, determined by random.org, is a package of assorted ribbons.

Be sure to review the Challenge Rules.
This week's challenge will be due Tuesday, December 21st @ 6:00 a.m. US central time.
